Sigvaris Merino Wool Review

Introducing the newest addition to the sports sock line from Sigvaris: the Merino Wool! Available in Charcoal or Olive colors and 15-20 or 20-30 mmHg compression, this comfortable and soft wool sock will get you through the longest day of being on your feet. We know you're probably already thinking "Why would I want to wear scratchy and hot wool, especially all the way up to my knee?!" However don't let it fool you; this is no ordinary wool sock. The fabric is extremely plush along the insides with barely noticeable seams, great for preventing blistering or chafing if you're going on a long walk or hike. Although wool tends to be more of an insulating fabric, this sock does a great job at wicking away moisture, so even though your feet may be warm, they stay dry. Additionally, wool is anti-static and breathable, so if you're wearing these all day you won't be uncomfortable.

Our team here at LegSmart were all very excited to try these out...Here's what we had to say about them!

"I was very hesitant about wearing wool socks since I have had problems wearing angora wool but these socks were very comfortable. The sole was cushy and soft, my feet and legs were comfortable even on warm days and the wool did not cause any of the usual itchy problems."

"The Merino wool compression socks by Sigvaris are really comfortable! Nothing compares to Merino wool when it comes to socks. They insulate your legs so you never get too cold or too warm. Also, the compression in the socks are perfect. They don't bind at the top of your legs and there's plenty of room in your feet. They're definitely one of my favorite socks this summer!"

"I love that my new Sigvaris socks provide all the benefits of graduated compression without sacrificing the functionality of wool hiking socks. They wick moisture away from my skin, keep me cool when it's warm, and warm when it's chilly. These are truly the ideal hiking sock!"

"This is the first time I've actually worn wool socks, and I must say I was quite surprised. They definitely felt better than cotton after a full day of being out and about, and they do a much better job at keeping my feet dry."
