Knee high compression stockings stop near the knee, so they don't address problems on or above the knee at all. If you're getting above average swelling, I would recommend that you consider wearing a thigh high compression stocking as it will help bring that swelling out of the leg. -Sam Hey John! Left leg has minimal swelling in same area. My stockings are 20-30. If I started wearing an over-the-knee stocking would that take care of the problem. This problem just started recently.
